Straight From The Seller: The Importance of Changing Wiper Blades

I was reading news article online (not so much about Hollywood this time, more on technology and business) when my eye caught an automotive news clip about an interview with one of the executives of a big corporation that supplies automotive parts including wiper blades in different countries and continents.

It was interesting for me because I was actually in the middle of deciding whether it’s time to change my wiper blades or not and the first question on the interview was how does the company encourages vehicle owners to replace their wiper blades as often as they should. I was actually expecting a sales-pitch type of answer but the executive was plain and truthful in his reply. He admit it was difficult as most vehicle owners would only put an eye on the replacement option once they’re done with their annual test and sometimes some motorists even overlook the fact that they needed to change their wiper blades to improve safety in the road.

The executive also discussed about putting warning signs instead of wear and tear indicators on the wiper blades. The problem with these warning signs, is that more often than not, motorists just ignore them thinking there’s no need to replace the old one since it is still functioning as a wiper even if it’s not functioning on an optimum level.

Responsible drivers know better. It is very important to change wiper blades as often as we should. Especially during a rainy season, when vision can be a big issue, a functional set of wiper blades could be a lifesaver.
