Happy to Pursue Her Heart's True Desire

posted on 20 December 2011

Alice feels bad because her father won't allow her to enroll in the course that she likes. Her dad insists that she studies to become a doctor. Although she knows that being a doctor is a noble profession, her heart is against it. She knows what she wants to do and that is to become a teacher. Unfortunately, Alice had to give in to her dad's wishes because if she did not, her dad won't send her to school anymore. Alice struggled in medical school but she continued to try her best because she did not want to disappoint her dad, who also happens to be a well known doctor. But no amount of performance coaching from her dad could help her succeed in medical school. Every semester, she would have failing grades until came the time that she had to be advised to transfer to another course. When that happened, Alice felt relieved. She was glad that her dad eventually allowed her to pursue her real dream of being a teacher. It was only then that Alice was really happy.

A Photo: a Moment in Space and Time

posted on 4 December 2011

Taking photos for me is to be able to catch that single moment of space and time and placed it in to eternity. I am not a wedding photographer or any other type of professional lensman, but I enjoy taking pictures. I have ordinary camera but even so, the relaxation of trying to catch perfect angle of scenery or an object is indescribable. Taking photos of people is very easy, but I always try to give some extra spark to the picture by catching an angle with some objects beside the people, like flowers or interesting scenery behind the people or similar. Most of all, I like to take pictures of scenery like from a top of a mountain, high cliffs, maybe even from the window of a plane. It is like trying to catch in one single photo, all your eyes can see. And the magic of taking photos is to show people what was in front of you in that single moment of time and space. Taking pictures with my camera is very enjoyable filling.

Hearing from a Dear Friend In Time for Wedding

posted on 1 December 2011

Carla dear, how are you? You must be surprised to hear from me, huh. Who wouldn't be? After all, I have been missing in action for the last two years or so. I am so sorry for that. But when news came around that you are set to marry in the next few weeks, I knew I had to talk to you. I want to be there for you in the same way that you never left my side when I got married to Bill five years ago. I know I have a lot to explain, but I hope you are not mad at me. Anyway, I want to personally talk to you so don't be surprised if one of these days, I would be knocking at your door. By the way, please let me take care of the bridesmaid gifts, okay? You know how I enjoy shopping for souvenir items, don't you? By the time you get this message, I must be on my way. So, I'll see you soon. I have missed you, my friend.

A Young Boy Decides to Wait for the Right Time

While his older brother, Michael already has a girlfriend, Vincent, is not showing signs of any interest in girls at this point of his life. Unlike Michael and many of his friends, Vincent would rather spend his free time playing video games and hanging out with his friends than get involved with a girl. He says that the last thing he wants is to have to worry about gift ideas for girlfriend birthday, among many other things. Vincent feels that getting into a relationship now is not necessary and would only complicate things. Aside from this, he thinks he is so immature. He knows that he cannot handle a relationship responsibly and his mother agrees with him on this aspect. For Vincent, there are things which are far more important than getting romantically involved. Yes, he imagines himself to be a family man in the future - but that's not even in the near future. Vincent may be immature and irresponsible in a lot of ways, but he surely knows what he can and cannot do at this point. He believes that there is a time for everything so he need not rush.

Bridesmaid gifts are just a sign of appreciation

posted on 8 October 2011

I never thought I would ever condone the idea of spending the rest of my life with someone let alone have a wedding to publicly declare the bond. Well, this has so happened to me because I met a men I can easily talk to and the best part that he gets me. My two sisters and two best friends have been helpful in planning my wedding. They brought in a lot of brilliant ideas and would not allow themselves to settle for less and that is why I never regret choosing them as my bridesmaids. I would not choose any strangers because I do not trust them with the most important person in my life. So I have decided to get them very good bridesmaid gifts. They are not anticipating them anyway and I intend to surprise them when they throw me a bachelorette party. I was not going to get them bridesmaid gifts that are all the same. I was going to get them gifts as individuals. My sisters love jewellery and my two friends love shoes and that was what I am going to get them.

What women do when they take their little trips out of town

posted on 24 September 2011

My friends and I are happily married. We have never broken our ties just because we got other responsibilities. It has always been girl power ever since we became friends during our freshman year at college. We worked really hard, married very good successful men and we also have very good jobs. Every month we go out as girls only. We do not include the men in our lives at our pamper treats escapades because we are very sure that they will get bored and even worse we will not have a good time. So the men use this time to relax and do things that we would not allow them to do. Our pamper treats outings always coincide with their fishing trips or major league games and at times we just choose to go at any time. We go to spas that are outside town and we get the best kind of pampering there is. We get to just relax and get massaged thoroughly for two consecutive days. By the end of the outing we feel rejuvenated and ready to go back to our normal lives.
