Dental Work: Sometimes Scary Things Really Aren't that Scary

So there I was sitting in the chair wearing my tiny disposable sunglasses looking into a bright light and my head is buzzing. My darlington dentist was working on my mouth. I just saw a bunch of crazy looking machinery and I'm fearing the worst. Though this is just a simple cleaning, there can always be those complications. So i'm laying on my back rolling my eyes around trying to grab a peek at what is going on and then I see an attendant sit down and tell me to open my mouth. She begins "polishing" my teeth, that is what they call brushing, and when she finishes she smiles and says that the dentist will be in shortly. Now the dentist has arrived and she has started cleaning my teeth and is asking me questions which is obviously an attempt to comfort me she understands how scary a dentist can be even when you get to this age. Before I even realize it, we're done and i'm sitting in my car biting me teeth together wonder how I could have been so scared of a simple teeth cleaning.
