Whenever I hear stories from people who are going through problems about money, I feel truly blessed for I do not have to go through the same distress. This morning, I came across an old friend and her story is just another sorrowful tale that really touched my heart. Her live in partner left her for another woman, and she has no choice but to provide for their child all by herself. Her family does not approve of this man even when they were still on the dating stage. Her mother was very vocal when she told her that she does not find him trustworthy. Now that she is going through these difficult times, she knows that her family cursed her for running away with this guy and she cannot ask for their help. What’s even worst is the fact that she is currently unemployed. I pity her and her child. I cannot forgive myself if I don’t do something to at least improve their condition. I thought of grants programs that the state is offering for the less privilege. I will try to research on this matter and will keep my friend posted so she can avail any of it right away. |

People are always reminiscing about the “good 'ole days”. Back when people took time to get to know their customers, and they really took pride in their product/service, and they depended on their customers taking pride in their business. Back before all the technology that we so depend on today. It is my hope that we can get back to those roots, and not depend on the technology of the internet so much, and still be able to effectively market our business. From roadside advertising to direct sales (meeting face to face), there are many more effective ways to spread the word offline. Let me elaborate on face-to-face sales a little more. Instead of sending a mass e-mail to give printable coupons for your new hair care product, get involved with the next community event, and pass them out. Meet the people, sell yourself, and you will sell more product. Example: The Elementary School is having a bake sale and you are already going to be involved with your children, and you know other parents are going to be there, too. So, instead of sitting at your computer, sending e-mail after e-mail, take a stack of coupons with you to the bake sale. As people are walking around admiring all the goods for sale, you can introduce yourself, tell them what product/service you have to offer, and that you are running a promotion/sale on the selected items. Shake their hand and ask them to tell a friend. Word of mouth is and always has been the best marketing tool. And the best part of that is, its free! So, not only have you attended your child's bake sale, been active in the community, but you have also marketed your business, all at the same time. We really don't see how many opportunities we have during a single day to market our business in our daily lives, without using anything, except our voice. How many times do you go to the market each week? How easy would it be to speak to someone in the market, or the post office, or at the gas station? Simply smiling at someone is a wonderful way to begin a pleasant conversation, that can easily turn into a business opportunity. Think about how many potential customers you could have by simply talking to someone that you would normally smile at, and keep walking. |

There are several stages in a persons life. The first one is when they are born and the second one is when they are growing into adulthood. This is the stage at which many get to learn about their identity as a person. This makes it a place where they have many questions to ask as well as doubts about themselves. When they get into adulthood completely, they start to make their dreams to come true in terms of working. Unfortunately, many youth do not have capital to start a business and it is for this reason they need to get help from some point. The government of uk has come to the realization that they need to help this group and for this reason youth grants are there for the youth who may need it. The state of the world today is making many people to grow lazy by day. Children no longer want to work hard at school because of the benefits of inheritance offered by their parents. Male children especially in the African countries are the once who are prone to inheritance whereas the female are suppose to be married and only benefit if their husbands work extra hard to provide for both the children and the wife. But do i qualify for unemployment benefits if i do not work hard and end up staying in a desperate situation that requires immediate help? The answer to this question is obviously no because only the deserving ones qualify in this case. In most cases, they are only given to those who are registered as unemployed and yet qualified in their studies. It is usually paid to the unemployed youths between the age of 16 to 24 or the apprentice of the same age and thus if you do not work hard and only rely on the unemployment benefits, what happens if you are passed the speculated age and you have nothing to survive on? |

After my husband lost his job, I realized that I was expectant. I did not know what to do because I knew that I needed money for my needs and for th needs of the child as soon as it was born. My husband was very happy with the news but still aware of the task ahead. He had taken a casual job in order to supplement the benefits he was getting from the government and the money was still not enough for all our needs plus house bills. I could not even attend an antenatal clinic as regularly as I was expected to because of the financial issue. Fortunately, a neighbor told me of some benefits for expectant mothers. I had gone to visit her and I could not hep but tell her what I was going through. I was very happy with the news. I applied for the benefits immediately. At least they enabled me to attend the antenatal clinics every time I was required to do so, and to purchase some of the things that I needed for the new arrival. |

This is a generation that has been taken over by computers, movies and also online games. Kids are brought up in an environment where they are not encouraged to read. A child can operate a computer even better than he or she can read. These kids can set up an xbox and play an entire game without barging and if you tell them to treat reading the same, you will not get the same kind of response. In fact they will cry adamantly on protest of the fact that they have been told to read. These kids have a problem when they join university because they have not mastered the art of reading. Such kids cannot even be doctors or lawyers because these professions need people who can read. That is why there are grants for books for schools . These are for elementary schools and high schools where the children are encouraged to start reading at a tender age. This is the best time to teach a kid to read because they retain a lot when they are still young. |

In business, the threat of bankruptcy looms large in 2011 for many companies, and it's no different at home - we're all struggling to keep afloat. The rising cost of food has prompted our neighborhood to band together and organize an informal food co-op. This past spring, we had a meeting to determine what we were all growing in our gardens, and made a few adjustments, so we could share our bounties with our neighbors. We assessed each of our gardens to determine the best crops to grow, so in my case, I concentrated on Swiss chard, eggplant and zucchini. My next door neighbor grew tomatoes and cucumbers, and the family across the street had a garden filled with beets, potatoes and yellow squash. We realized that instead of us all growing a little bit of everything, we would be better off growing a lot of just a few vegetables and sharing. This has worked out very well for our group, and there were only a few times when I had to shop for vegetables this summer. We’ve all saved at least $125 this summer. Maybe it isn’t a fortune, but it’s money I can put to use elsewhere. Plus, we all ate healthy and organic! |

A group of graduates were looking into moving in one town and looking for employment in the same town. They wanted to be together at least during the first days of their employment to share their respective experiences and to enjoy their first salaries. They decided to settle in Tamworth, because they were aware of the many tamworth jobs available for fresh graduates like them. The job search did not take long, and even though they were working for different companies they were happy to be together in the same town. They rented a house where they lived together. After several months of working, each of them was now ready to start their own lives. They had enough of partying and so they were ready to start saving and managing their lives seriously. Although they met after sometimes, each of them had a different life, and that was what they needed for their future. They did not waste their entire lives at all like so many would have done. Their overindulgence at first taught each of them an important lesson in life. |

Rose is feeling sick today that's whyu she decided to take a leave of absence from the office. She has not been feeling well since the other day. Now she is worried that some things may be seriously wrong with her. She has been advised to see a doctor to avoid any complications, but then Rose is afraid to go alone. So she had to ask her good friend, Carina, if it was okay for her to accompany her to the doctor. Being the kind of friend that she is, Carina gladly obliged to keep her company. But since she is still on duty at the outsourcing call centre, Rose will have to wait for her for a few more hours. As soon as Carina arrived, the two went off immediately to the clinic nearby. After a while, the two went home already. Rose was relieved to find out that she wasn't seriously ill as she thought she was. She just needed a few more days to rest and was reminded to take her medicines religiously. |

I have been working for someone who does not even know how to treat his employees well. This is a man who always sees fault in everything that we do. There are some of us that do exemplary work and yet he still does not see that. There is nothing bad like working for a pessimist, it can be very discouraging and not motivational. That is why my best friend convinced me to quit working for that ungrateful man and join her so that we can start a business of our own. She is a very creative painter and she wants me to help her sell her paintings because I ma pretty good at that. So we looked for space where we could have an office and an art studio for her. Then we also sold her things on online markets like eBay and the people who paid for the paintings used PayPal strictly. We never had to use paypal telephone because we had very few problems and also sending them email was way better. This was better than working for someone who thought your work was fluff all the time. |

Consumers are people who are important in our business and markets in all countries. Are people who must be there because they are the reason why goods and products are sold? Stocks are put in shops just because of them. Consumers are protected by the law when purchasing goods in market so they don’t get to be treated bad by people. I think the most important thing to personal finance and investing is to have a goal. For me, this was to purchase my first property. To begin with I created a budgeting spreadsheet and listed all my income streams (from my 3 jobs/businesses) and all my necessary expenses. I then added a number of optional expenses to allow for me to have a bit of extra spending money but not too much. The rest of the money coming in was set aside for savings, this was broken up into several categories, first of all was the property savings segment which was the majority of the savings. the next one was a car saving segment, and thirdly I had a technology saving segment for any technological items I wish to purchase. After using this system for a while it is able to give you a summary at anytime of the balance in each of these segments to be able to accurately see the savings progess this enables people to be motivated to continue saving and thus have a successful saving regime. |

Many men who are getting married complain that the fathers of their fiances are too protective when it comes to the daughters and they say that the over protectiveness even goes on when they get married. Education is considered as key to success in this country. The educated are the ones who are going places, and they are living a very comfortable lives compared to the uneducated. Education also determines the kind of job one is going to get and this will determine the kind of income one will get. In order to ensure that the citizens of our country have equal chances of bettering their lives, our government has designed ways in which everyone of us will be able to get the education that they want to get. This will be through School Grants to those who cannot afford to pay their own school fees. The costs of education is very high and the low income earners may not afford to meet their own education needs, but with these grants, the poor will also have a chance to get education and to compete with the rich in the available job vacancies. The global economic status has affected the lives of many people round the world.
