Celebrities who consider helping needy people in society.

posted on 14 December 2011

There is one thing to be famous and there is another thing to be known for the good work you do especially for the people who are needy. Many celebrities that we have across the globe earn so much money because of the fame their fans have accorded them but they rarely get time to give back to the society. Only a few like michael j fox remember to dedicate some of their wealth and money to helping the needy people in the society. Michael is not only a celebrity but a blessed man who has dedicated his life into helping the needy patients who need special medical attention through his foundation. Unlike many celebrities who would rather use their title to do the wrong things that will annoy their fans, Michael is really a loved person even to the people who do not benefit from his foundation because it shows how kind and good hearted he is. This is the only way you can also gain respect from your fans as well as from other people in your life.

Linkedin: Does the Thing Really Work?

posted on 28 November 2011

I have used Linkedin on multiple occasions. When I first used Linkedin, my first thoughts were "uhh this is good", however the more I used it the more I found it hard to use, not very user friendly, and most of all you don’t receive a single benefit from using it. Sure, you can find skilled workers and firms - a creative design agency, programmers, artists etc - but selling your own skills just seems to be a lot harders on this platform. I have tried to work out how it is in any different from the likes of facebook etc… and I can honestly say facebook is better. I know that Linkedin is aimed at professionals but really you can the same things on facebook as you can on Linkedin and when you get bored you can play a game! So all in all I would say if you are planning on using the wonderful website which is called Linkedin then honestly DON’T. It is the biggest waste of time that I have ever come across, and you don’t gain anything from using it.

Do the Current Cable Bundles Work For You?

posted on 12 June 2011

There are many benefits of having Cable TV. Some of these could be the discount that comes with bundling packages, a better connection as opposed to other alternatives and in some cases, a wider selection of channels. Most Cable providers will offer customers a discount if they were to "bundle". Bundling means having internet, TV and phone through one provider. Most providers also give you the option of selecting two packages instead of three if thats what you want to do. Nowadays, a lot of people do not need a home phone with the rising popularity of other types of phones. It could prove to be very beneficial to bundle only internet and TV. In addition, a cable connection will give you better service than other options because you will rarely lose service with this type of connection. Where as other connections may not get good service due to inclimate weather or just plain bad reception. A cable connection seems to be the most reliable when it comes to this. Finally, some cable services provide a wider selection of channels for a customer to choose from. This is not always the case but most of the time, they offer more channels. This is good for certain segments of viewers who may want to view their favorite sports team who is not always available with other carriers. All in all, having a cable provider for all of your in home needs can be very rewarding for a customer. The best thing to do is to find out what you and your family need or want the most and find out which providers offer that at the lowest cost. Take a look at the current Comcast Offers and see if this works for you.

Mixing two different fields in the same career path.

posted on 31 May 2011

There has been more than enough which has been said about different celebrities and the path of career that they decide to take. For one ashton kutcher, this has not been the case for him. Instead, he has been able to mix two different characters into one person and still represent himself as a descent human being. He is an actor, a model and at the same time an American stand- up comedy participant. Being in these different fields for any person is not such an easy thing, but because it is what he has been doing for the longest time now, he is a clear indication that it is very possible to carry out two different fields in the same career line and still have your own image. He has been in the media industry for long now, and he plays all his roles perfectly. You can also try balancing two fields but you will need a lot of dedication and spirit to conquer the challenges which await you. But it is very much possible to do it.

Graffiti: Why Banksy Still Rules

posted on 3 January 2011

A rule of thumb with artists and musicians is to avoid reading interviews with them. Banksy, one of the world's most famous graffiti artists, makes that easy. Famously reclusive, the British artist and wall-painter, Banksy represents a recent trend towards graffiti as mainstream art. A paint job from the right graffiti artist can now add thousands to the value of your home or wall. In his home-town of Bristol, a Banksy mural created civic outrage recently. Not through it's shocking content or the fact that it was painted on a wall without permission, but because the city council's anti-graffiti squad rather foolishly had it painted over. A supportive public were outraged, resulting in endless "but is it art?" discussions in the local paper and discussion boards. In this, the evolution of grafffiti has followed punk music into a rather awkward, mainstream existence. Just as it's hard for punk noise to shock as it did in the 1970s, it is hard now for graffiti art to be experienced today as it was in the days before Banksy and co became major artists. Which begs the question: how will the next generation of artists shock us?

Surprise at the Art Gallery in Cleveland

posted on 1 January 2011

While in Cleveland for a sporting event we decided to stop by the Cleveland Museum of Art - I am an art fan and my house is full of Hogarth canvas prints in particular. I had heard about the museum's exhibit of armor and wanted to experience that. It was a most impressive exhibit with a wide array of medieval armor on display, along with notes on historical significance of each piece. As we wandered further into the museum we found that there was a Picasso exhibit that had just opened. There was no additional charge so we went in and to my surprise the exhibit was fabulous. I had not been a Picasso fan but after viewing the exhibit I became one. I have always been amazed that I stumbled upon this world famous artist's work when I least expected it and became a fan because of it. I think it's a lesson for me to visit art galleries more often.
